Canteen
The Bayswater Primary School Canteen is run by the P&C and managed by a Canteen Manager who is employed by the P&C.
The canteen is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the school term, providing food service at recess and lunch time.
The canteen provides students with a variety of balanced and nutritious foods, delivered in line with the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating (“traffic light system”) and Western Australian Department of Education Healthy Food and Drink Policy.
The menu changes regularly based on the season and popularity of items.
The canteen aims to keep prices as low as feasible, utilising volunteers to help keep staffing costs at a minimum.
Ordering
It is important to pre-order your items and orders can be completed online or in person at the canteen (cash and Efpos facilities available). Orders can be made up until 9am on the days the canteen is open.
Online Ordering
Online orders are placed via the QuickCliq website. Simply sign up for a QuickCliq account and away you go. More information about QuickCliq for parents can be found here.
In Person Ordering
You can place orders in person with cash or Efpos at the canteen on the day. Simply use the brown paper ordering bags available at the canteen window.
Orders must be received by 9 am, so if you are running late. please go straight to the canteen to avoid your child missing out.
Students can also buy drinks, treats, icy poles etc on a first come first served basis at recess and lunch. Cash and Efpos are accepted.
Volunteers
The canteen operates best with the assistance of volunteers, and as Friday is our busiest day, we require at least one volunteer every Friday from 10am to 1pm.
To share this responsibility, the P&C has developed a roster, which nominates a different class each week to provide a volunteer. The roster is published in the school newsletter and in the WhatsApp Community at the beginning of each term. Volunteers can sign up using the provided link. Of course, if you are available, you can sign up for any other day too!
